When I first heard traditional Irish folk music, I was totally captivated. I discovered Irish folk music entirely by accident. I walked into a bar on a Sunday night, looking for a beer. What I didn’t know was that night was Irish folk music night. There were people sitting all over the bar stools and benches, moving back and forth holding a beer in one hand and singing. And in the center of the room was a music band playing this incredible Irish music. I had never heard anything like it before.
